Hi! I'm AK & I'm a rising senior at Chapman University Dodge College of Film & Media Arts - with a major in Film & TV Production (Sound Design Emphasis) and minor in Disability Studies!​

Like a lot of other Gen Z kids, I fell in love with making videos at an early age. 

Coming to college I was sure my future was in picture editing. I knew post production was my passion since middle school and had been honing skills from editing to VFX in those years. I knew my perfectioning....

But suprisingly, my sophmore year, I realized I was always cutting picture to get to sound. And through those around me I learned that soun.... I took lead on sound on my first project in Fall 2024, and fell in love. By Spring 2025, I decided to go all in and changed my emphasis at Dodge from Editing to Sound Design.

Outside of film, I love being outdoors. I've been a competitive ski racer since I was young and currently am a para alpine ski racer on the North American circuit, with a hope of making the US Ski Team for the 2030 Paralympic Games. I'm also really passionate inclusion, and diversity. This tends to make its way into my life both through my work as I beliveve film is one of the most powerful mediums we have to normalize experiences!
