once the character creation is finished, you can then save the.ini file, which is the diablo ii game's configuration file. you can then open up the game's main menu by clicking on the diablo ii interface icon in the upper right corner of the hero editor interface.
4) change folder location for hero editor. normally, you can run hero editor from start > programs > terrainveditdroid (the name of the program as shown in the taskbar, in the upper left corner). if you would like to change the program's location, you can do this by right-clicking on the hero editor icon and selecting properties. click the "change icon and text" tab, then browse to your new location. after that, you can start the program and you will have the new location as its default location.
5) the first time you run hero editor, you will be prompted for an item to edit. you can skip this step and start editing your inventory. the left side will give you the list of all your items. the top row is your gold and currency, the lower row is your items and the middle row is the equipment. to view an item, click it on the list or press enter to open it. (if you are editing your gear, you can hold the ctrl key down to see the slot the item is in.)
